Best canned beer

Canned beer was once sniffed at, considered low brow. But ever since Dale’s Pale Ale appeared in cans in 2002 in Colorado, many quality  craft  beers have gone the canned route.  The prime advantage of canned beer is that it is more mobile than bottles. It can go where bottles are forbidden, such as your neighborhood swimming pool.

My neigbhorhood swimming hole, Bolton Swim and Tennis, is conducting a tasting of canned beers Thursday night Aug 2, 7-8 p.m. It will be a blind tasting, so it will be interesting to see which canned brews emerge as favorites. So far this summer  my favored pool beers are Dale’s Pale , Resurrection, Underdog, and Come Hell or High Watermelon.
